Chateau Cantemerle GCC Haut Medoc 2020

A red wine from Haut-Médoc which harmoniously expresses its terroir .

The estate:  With its origins dating back to 1147, Château Cantemerle is one of the oldest estates of the Haut-Médoc appellation. Managed by the Cordier family, Château Cantemerle will seduce enthusiasts with the signature style of its wines, exhibiting great harmony and elegance through a subtle aromatic palette and a tannic structure full of finesse.

The vineyard: Located in the Haut-Médoc appellation and planted in fine and deep gravel soils, the Château Cantemerle vineyard covers 95 hectares of vines, aged 40 years on average. Here you will find sandy-gravel soils dating from the Quaternary period.

The winemaking and ageing: Manual harvests with sorting of destemmed fruits, then vinification in wooden, stainless steel and cement vats. Ageing lasts for 12 months in French oak barrels, of which 40% are new.
